We have resistance welding technology available for welding individual materials.
Resistance welding is used to connect two materials laid on itself. The bonded materials are crushed together by two electrodes that simultaneously pass through the electric current. Steel is a poor conductor in relation to copper wires, so there is a great resistance to the current flowing and local welding of the welding materials will occur. At the same time pressure is applied to local welding. The resulting welds have a high shear resistance in the direction of surfaces of the welded materials as compared to the stress perpendicular to the surface of the welded materials. The most commonly used is spot welding, which produces a weld of about the size of the electrodes.
